He is saying mamma, dadda, and something that sounds like "drink" "bird" "tree" but they aren't really words yet. He is almost running as his walking is getting faster and faster. He started to walk at 10.5 months old. He has outgrown his little basketball hoop that Derek and Laura bought him for his birthday a year ago. For Christmas we brought home a bigger Little Tikes basketball hoop for him to use in the living room and he is dunking on it like a champ! He can't "shoot" it yet but he dunks it over the rim. He makes 2 handed "passess" with the big basketball and sometimes does "no look" Steve Nash passes as well.
The other day I asked him for a hug because we were having a nice time on the bed playing (note: when I ask him to hug his stuffed animals he always does) and instead of a hug he chucked his matchbox car at my head. Must be love..ahhh. I didn't get mad and I didn't get even either. That will be the last time I ask for a hug. He will hug me when HE feels like it.
He is really enjoying baby einstein videos and waves "bye bye" when the video is all finished. He waves bye bye and hello as well. At the basketball games he loves to wave at the crowd and entertains all that are above him. He still weighs about 23 lbs. Just like Theo.
We took him to a boys basketball game and he wanted to go out on the court so that was fun chasing him.
His diet is mainly scrambled eggs, hamburger patties, roast, dark chocolate, vit D milk, water, sweet potato, string cheese, blueberries, and ice cream.
Our diet is the same.
A few weeks ago we had a big snow storm so I took him outside and I put him in the snow and he didn't even move. He wasn't that into it I guess. Oh well, maybe next year.
That's a little update on our little man. He loves his blankie's and sadly he sucks on them like a pacifier. When his blankie isn't around he sucks on his own tongue like a pacifier.
