NYR update

Time for my NYR update. .

Forgive my ignorance...I can't figure out how to rotate this picture of Wade. This shot was taken at Sears at 14 months old.
Also, the picture of me in the Nash jersey, I only posted that because one has to be able to laugh at oneself. We had quite a fun night playing dress up. Youth, size small. I bought the jersey for Wade for his first birthday but I think he is going to have to wait till his 4th birthday to actually wear it.

Reading update
Book 8: "In Thin Air" suggested by, Mr. Cares

Book 9: "Change of Heart" taken out of a garage of my client.
Written by Jodi Picoult. I absolutely hated this book and I honestly decided that it was worth my time to quit. I read about 3/4 of the book so technically this book shouldn't count officially. I give myself credit for making it as far as I made it. It was hard to quit. I finally tossed it on the floor and said, "Enough is enough. I am not reading another page of this awful book. Complete waste of time.

This has shown me that I really enjoy non-fiction books or historical fiction. Fiction is starting to seem like a bunch of crap.
In Thin Air, was a great book about a Mt. Everest climb. I learned a lot and realized that I never ever want to climb a huge mountain like Everest. It was what I call "heavy, factual reading." When I finished it was hard to start another book because it left such a weight on my heart.

Ballhandling update
As for my ballhanding, it is not good. I need to get back at that goal. I won't say I am giving up but I haven't been moving forward. What do they say again, "if you aren't getting better, you are probably getting worse."

Shopping update!!!
They say, "the proud will fall." Well, I am very proud that I haven't bought a single thing yet this year. We are saving money like crazy and I don't even crave shopping anymore. Sometimes on a nice sunny 40 degree day it does make me want to get out and shop in anticipation for spring weather. I have been to the mall a number of times with Wade and I haven't even browsed. Wade likes the pink ice cream truck at the mall (small mechanical car) so we go to hang out in the pink truck. The strong train, and fast motorcycle doesn't seem to interest him at all. Future entrepreneur?

New resolution
My latest and greatest resolution is to not sit on the couch. I will be like the people of the east..floor sit. My back hurts so much from our furniture. I started this one today = )

Coaching update
Other news...my JV girls basketball team is 17-2. Both of our losses were 3 points or less so I take full responsibility for the losses. Losing one or two keeps a coach humble. (That's my defense mechanism kicking in.) We had a team "sleepover" that I attended in my pink penguin pajamas (although I didn't actually sleep over) and had a blast. The things you can learn from 15 and 16 year old girls. wow. Just being with them for a few hours I learned so much about each of their personalities. We "should of" done that earlier in the year.

March is almost here and now comes perseverance. Two months has been a piece of cake, can I do 3 months?
